The challenges posed by radical ethnic groups to counter-intelligence in the Middle East – Learn from Renowned Security Expert from Israel
- Foiling Terrorist Attack

Introduction

For a few decades now the world is facing the threats and challenges posed by radical Islam. The 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center constituted a turning point with reference to the relation of the world to the magnitude of the threat and the challenge posed by these organizations to democratic securities throughout the world. Along with the collapse of the Twin Towers the doctrine that considered radical Islam to be a local/territorial problem rooted in economic distress and discrimination collapsed as well. In the following seminar I will concentrate on the practical implications of the collapse of this doctrine and the different ways to face and cope with the challenges posed by this ideology in the Middle East.

              1. Familiarization with the worldview of Islamic fundamentalist organizations

              2. Elaboration on the nature of "the conflict"

              3. Examination of possible ways in which intelligence may cope with these organizations

                            Responsible for the security of the staff and offices of the Israeli embassy,                             including intelligence and security related issues in shipping and cargo.
