2 Day Master Class in Loss Prevention - Fighting Losses - Maximize Profit
Providing you practical and effective tools for fighting losses and maximizing the company's profit

Retail businesses suffer from losses valued at 1%-3% of their turnover, sometimes even more. If we take into account that net profit is generally a single-digit percentage of turnovers, this means that reducing depreciation and loss by one percent or more will have a significant impact on the company's profit.

It is possible to achieve this improvement by using means that do not require in large financial investment.

In general, causes of loss are:
  • Theft by employees: approximately 48% of the loss (based on international data)
  • Theft by customers: approximately 32% of the loss (based on international data)
  • Mistakes in record-keeping and management: 15% of the loss (based on international data)
  • Theft by suppliers: approximately 5% of the loss (based on international data)

There are additional factors that reduce companies' profit that also must be considered, such as: break-in, robbery, fire, fraud, embezzlement, forgery, theft, stolen credit cards, bomb threats and more.

Internal factors that impact loss are:
  • Lack of management
  • Lack of service
  • Lack of professional knowledge
  • Warehouse mistakes
  • Cashier mistakes
  • Lack of staff involvement
  • Refunds
  • Unauthorized markdowns
