To meet the growing demand of care givers and working professionals seeking practical oriented and intensive knowledge in specific fields of counselling and psychology. We have developed a series of Professional Certification programs in Counselling, Social Sciences, Psychology, Psychotherapy and Behavioral Science to meet societal and familial needs of our community.
The aim of this program is to provide relevant training to equip graduates with the skills to advance their careers in community work, teaching, human resources, social work, counselling, and career advisory.
Course Structure
The Professional Certificate course comprises of 18 contact hours of face to face training covering the following topics.
Introduction and Development of CBT
This module focuses on the overview of contextual development of cognitive-behavioral approaches; evaluative research and current status; contemporary issues and developments.
Cognitive Interventions
This module will identify and modify dysfunctional cognitions, Socratic questioning, downward-arrow technique, challenging core beliefs, diary monitory, thought records, cognitive distortions, problem solving strategies, cost-benefit analysis, imaginal techniques, etc
CBT Learning Theory & Research
This module will bring you through the Classical and Operant conditioning; social modeling; the application of behavioral principles to therapeutic practice; behavioral techniques and methods; impact of cognitions and emotions on personal experience; cognitive methods and techniques.
Course Delivery
Participants can choose from the following options available.
Part-time: 6 weekdays lessons over 3 weeks from 7.00pm to 10.00pm
Full-time: 2 day intensive program, from 9am to 6pm
Entry Requirements
Mature Candidate (Age 21 years and above)
Diploma qualification from a recognized institution
Senior executives with extensive experience but without academic qualification may be considered on a case to case basis
Assessment & Award
Upon successful completion, students will be awarded a Certificate of Completion by Centre for Behavioral Science.
